We enjoyed the opportunity to participate in Extract’s HealthyData Virtual Academy Winter ’23 event on March 7, 2023. The event theme was The Difference is in the Data and offered two AHIMA CEUs and hosts presentation sessions on Finding Support for an HIM or Revenue Cycle Project and Elevating Forms Management: How to Streamline Process & Enhance Compliance.

The session: “Elevating Forms Management: How to Streamline Process & Enhance Compliance,” was led by our own Director of Product Marketing, Dessiree Paoli, and Rochester Regional Health’s HIM Content Specialist, Diana Adam-Podgornik, RHIT. Diana oversees RRH’s Forms Committee and EPIC onboarding team. She works directly with new acquisition leaders to ensure smooth transitions. She is an expert on healthcare forms control, inventory management, and record shortage and destruction.

The conversation took a deep dive into the current state of patient forms along with what concrete steps healthcare staff and organizations can take to improve forms management. The session shared insight into optimal organizational structure, governance, eSignatures, and form structure, standardization, and specifications. With a focus on keys to success in establishing your healthcare organization’s forms committee, attendees learned steps they needed to get done and how to uniform processes. In short, it’s a presentation HIM professionals just can’t miss!
